Guess what I found on the back of my pants?
When I returned home from my grocery shopping on Thursday I brushed my hand over the back of my pants and found this:
It’s some kind of plastic diamond sticker. I figure I probably sat on it when I had my coffee at the mall. I felt so stupid special. I’m sure most people at the mall would have thought I was starting a new trend.
“Wow! there goes the lady who sticks plastic diamonds on her bum! I want to be just like her.”
Apart from this making me enormously popular, my week was interesting – so here are some titles:
Monday
A Spider Ate My Mouse (Horror) – What is happening in the small town of Rucville? A woman battles a hairy eight-legged force who takes up residence on her computer mouse. Does she finish her novel, or run screaming from the house to fight again another day?
Tuesday
Sleepless in the RUC (Action) – A local resident stands against teens who decide to try out their new four wheelers at all hours of the night. Can one man really scare off these jokers? You bet!
Wednesday
Water! (Drama) – When a tractor catches fire the driver decides to head straight for the RUC to find water. The lady of the house is not impressed (unfortunately I didn’t get photos).
Thursday
The Diamond Buttock (Comedy) – How long can one woman walk around with a diamond stuck to her bottom when she’s not Kim Kardashian? Will she ever be able to find the diamond’s rightful owner?
Thanks to those who played along last time I did my Week in Titles. Marsha Ingrao and Irishnana and (of course) the lovely boss-lady who inspired me, Jo (who doesn’t have a website so I can’t link here).

Just love the covers Dianne – Soul’s Child is particularly poignant. Concerning the spider I’m guessing you spoke kindly to it before persuading it to move aside. I’d run and keep running 🙂

I’m not sure what sound came out of my mouth when I first put my hand on the spider, Roy – but it didn’t sound human 😉

What a great idea- each day of the week in title. I’ll have to use that sometime – can I ‘borrow’ it? 🙂 I think your book covers are amazing. A new designer? The one that stands out the most is SOUL’S CHILD. I like how they’re all designed similarly with the title and author name scrolled 3/4s of the way down.

Yes! Please ‘borrow’ it Pam and I’ll link you back to my next post 🙂
I’m so glad you like the new book covers. I did them all through the cover creator on Create Space. It was awesome using the tools to build them – I hope they look professional 🙂

I can certainly relate, Dianne! Well, except for the giant spider. Thank goodness we don’t have a lot of those in my neck of the woods. All your creatures are supersized compared to ours. 🙂
When my boys were little, they enjoyed putting stickers on my back in the ruse of giving me a hug (so I wouldn’t catch on). Then they’d see how long I’d walk around without realizing the sticker was on me. The answer turned out to be a very long time indeed!

Haaaaa! My kids used to do that as well, Carrie! They always had the knack of giving me a laugh. Then my daughter went through a stage of blowing raspberries (in the sound of passing wind) every time I bent over to pick something up (don’t tell your boys that because they’ll be onto it in a shot, even though they’re bigger now).
I hope you’re enjoying your blogging break, getting everything done and enjoying some ‘Carrie time’ xxxx

As well as changing the covers I went through them word by word to get them up on CreateSpace, Char – it was a lot of work, but really worth it (and it’s inspired me to get stuck into the half written novels I’ve got hanging around the place) – so I’m really glad you like the ‘new look’ 🙂

You’ve definitely had an exciting week! I wonder if any of the incidents were related – at least maybe the tractors out at all hours of the night and then the one catching on fire. Maybe it spontaneously combusted from any possible negative thoughts directed toward it. Sounds like it could be a book! Your covers look great!

What do you do when your tractor catches fire? You drive straight towards the nice wooden house! Haaa – I couldn’t believe he did that and I put that fire out within seconds, Sheila.

Haaaa – I love the ‘new trend’ Letizia 😀
I changed the covers because I wanted to put hard copies on CreateSpace, but my computer broke last year and I lost all my work (including the pictures of the old covers). So it was a good excuse to download the books off the net in PDF and update them to Word (because I didn’t have electronic copies of those either) and update the covers. I feel whole again 😀

Well the funny u mentioned stars because last month we had a last minute get together for my hubs bday and he used a red star on his recent song cover – so when I was getting supplies they had a sale on a sheet of red glitter stars (plastic-y) and so when I gave everyone the bday quiz – I also put red stars on folks – cheesy – but all in good fun – well for days I found a stray red stars around the house – and saved one on the calendar!
Anyhow – your diamond made for a fun post – along with your titles!
