Cat Moon
It was a cat moon kind of night on Friday night. I was out on the writer’s nook writing a short story when I looked up and saw this. For a brief moment I thought I was being stalked by a celestial feline (and there isn’t even a cat in the story – maybe I should add one).
I also got some pretty cool pics of birds the other day. I’m going to send them to the local newspaper. Hopefully they’ll like them – I’ll let you know how I go.
*** Have a great week! ***
Wow! That’s an incredible shot, Dianne. The newspaper would be crazy not to publish it. I’ve never seen something quite like that. Thanks for sharing! xo

So glad you like it, Jill. I’m going to send the bird shots to the newspaper – I don’t think they’ll publish the moon shot because it’s now been published here. If they don’t publish the bird shots I’ll put them up here – YAY π

I haven’t heard of it either – I just thought of it when I saw the clouds in front of the moon π

That’s an extraordinary photo of the moon! I guess that’s what you get when you hang around with clouds.

I hang out with the clouds and moon a lot, Sharon – particularly when I’m writing (head is always in the clouds) π
I’m so glad you like the shot xxx

I sent them yesterday, but have heard nothing yet – sheesh, I don’t now how good you have to be to get in there. I’ve sent some before of the geckos and just get ignored – LOL π

I haven’t either, Linda – I just thought of it when I saw it looking down at me like that. I wonder if there really is such a thing? π

Wonderful image, Dianne! Perfect for a book cover, I would say. Good luck with your bird pics. Maybe I should send some of my iggy photos to one of our papers. π

They would DEFINITELY publish your Iggy pictures, Sylvia. I have sent pics of the geckos before and never heard back from my local paper. I think there’s a load of good photographers in this area and somehow I just don’t make the grade π Oh well, I’ll just keep trying. If they don’t take the pics I sent yesterday I’ll put them in my next post π

There’s a little kitty cloud watching the cat, too. Very cool pic! I agree with Sylvia, it would make a great book cover.! π

I think so too, Marsha. Now I just have to write a book to match the cover. Maybe I could just call it Cat Moon (good grief – I’ve just had an idea!). Funny how that happens! π π π

How did you take that moon pic? It’s amazing. I can NEVER get anything decent of the moon or anything far away like that. Sigh. Jealous, I think!

That is so funny! And do your moons really wax and wane up and down instead of left and right like they do in the Northern Hemisphere? Or is there just a well-placed cloud covering the top of the moon so perfectly?

The ‘facing down’ moon is what it looks like in the tropics. If you go further north or further south it goes sideways π I remember when I first came to live here I thought there was ‘something wrong’ with the moon – LOL π
