I wake up early (yeah – 4am is my Eyes snap open. What do I need to do today? More hours required time).

For the last two days I’ve been laying floorboards in the bedroom and I can tell you straight up – I’ve got musclesΒ I never knew existed screaming at me every time I take a step (and as my kids would say, “Don’t take a step then”).

I feel like I’ve done 10,000 squats and trying to get out of bed this morning was akin to taking aΒ plunge off the side of the Grand Canyon.

The next challenge came when I tried to sit down in front of the computer, then stand up again to make myself a coffee (I’m trying to figure out how to get through the day without having to sit down and stand up and I’m running out of options).

But the good news is – all the flooring in the RUC is now completed!

Is it okay to drink champagne for breakfast?

Cheers πŸ˜€

I was lucky enough this morning to catch the moon setting over the mountains to the west. What a beautiful sight!

moonset 1_1moonset2_1moonset3_1

You may have noticed I’ve put my name on these pics. I hope it hasn’t spoiled them, but I’ve found some of my pics floating around the internet. I don’t mind people using themΒ as long as they credit the original to me.

Have a wonderful week all!Β

copyright its important! Hope you limber up and feel better… I hate those hidden muscles!

    • diannegray / Jul 13 2014 8:49 am

Oh those muscles! I’m trying to move around as much as I can so I don’t seize-up, DAF πŸ˜€

  2. Carrie Rubin / Jul 13 2014 8:27 am

Who needs exercise videos when you’ve got floorboards to keep you toned? πŸ™‚

The pictures are gorgeous. I put my name on my photos now, too. People often don’t realize they’re not supposed to just take any image they want and use it, so it’s best to at least get credit for it.

    • diannegray / Jul 13 2014 8:53 am

That’s right, Carrie πŸ˜€ At least if I’ve got my name on them and they are used, people will be able to see they are mine πŸ˜‰

No exercise videos for me! Maybe I should have taken a video of me putting down the floor boards and sold it as an exercise video πŸ™‚

  3. John / Jul 13 2014 8:40 am

Great photos, Dianne. My wife told me there will be a ‘super’ moon tonight. we shall see. May your muscles settle down and feel better soon!!

    • diannegray / Jul 13 2014 8:54 am

There’s nothing more beautiful than a β€˜super’ moon! I hope you manage to get some pics, John, I’d love to see them πŸ˜€

      • John / Jul 13 2014 9:06 am

I will try for sure. It’s only 4:07PM here just now, have about 4 hours of daylight left.

  4. Theo Fenraven / Jul 13 2014 8:49 am

Hope you get to take it easy the next couple of days. You deserve it. πŸ™‚

    • diannegray / Jul 13 2014 9:43 am

Thanks, Theo. I hope you get some relaxing days ahead as well πŸ˜‰

      • Theo Fenraven / Jul 13 2014 10:22 pm

I’ve pretty much taken the entire week off other than writing. The lack of work was unexpected but delightful, and I’m enjoying it a lot.

  5. bodhisattvaintraining / Jul 13 2014 9:19 am

    crazy photos!

    • diannegray / Jul 13 2014 9:46 am

Thank you! It was very surreal here this morning πŸ˜€

  6. Jill Weatherholt / Jul 13 2014 9:23 am

Ah…the Super Moon…it’s so beautiful! It did make me feel as though I overslept all night long, the room was so bright. It should be around again this evening. It’s a full moon, but what makes it “Super” is the fact that it’s closer to Earth. How cool is that?
Anyone who has done, or feels like they’ve done 10,000 squats, deserves champagne for breakfast. Cheers, Dianne! xo

    • diannegray / Jul 13 2014 9:47 am

Cheers to you too, Jill! I hope you get to have a look at it tonight (if it’s cloudless) – it certainly felt like daytime all night last night because it was so bright πŸ˜€

  7. Ruth Rainwater / Jul 13 2014 9:44 am

If you really want to have champagne for breakfast, do it! Or better yet – make Mimosas. Then no one will know you’re drinking champagne; they’ll think it’s just orange juice. πŸ™‚

Great shots of the moon! We couldn’t see it last night because of cloud cover – maybe tonight.

    • diannegray / Jul 13 2014 9:52 am

I really hope you get to see it tonight, Ruth. I have a fixation with the moon and that may be because my name in Roman mythology means “by the virgin goddess of the moon and of hunting”. Well, they’re almost right (LOL) πŸ˜‰

Mimosas sound like a plan to me! Cheers πŸ˜€

  8. Jenny Ackland / Jul 13 2014 9:47 am

Absolutely gorgeous pics of the moon Dianne, and good on you for doing the flooring. What a project it’s been, so satisfying. And in answer to your question: YES. Why not.

    • diannegray / Jul 13 2014 9:53 am

Thank you, Jenny – I’m raising my glass to you now! Cheers, my friend πŸ˜€

I’m so glad you like the moon pics. I’ve never really been able to catch its pure beauty (but I try) πŸ˜‰

  9. bluebee / Jul 13 2014 9:50 am

Magic, magic photos! πŸ˜„ Getting up early has its advantages!

I chased the rising super moon on my way home from the city last night. There was a lot of cloud about and I couldn’t see it from the train. Jumped in my car at the station and cursed all the dawdlers on the road πŸ˜‰ Then, I spied it peeking its big orange head out of the clouds through a hole in a hedge on a road near home, but by the time I’d turned around and parked, it had slid behind the clouds, only to appear much later, no longer huge and orange.

    • diannegray / Jul 13 2014 10:52 am

I would love to have got a picture of it rising instead of setting (it always seems bigger when it’s rising for some reason) but to get that pic I have to run to the other side of my mother-in-laws house because it blocks my view of the east – very thoughtless of her (LOL) πŸ˜‰

I love the way you chased the moon. That’s a great visual! πŸ˜€

  10. Yolanda M. / Jul 13 2014 9:55 am

Congrats on finishing the flooring Dianne πŸ™‚ I do believe a stiff drink or two before breakfast will sort out all kinds of aches and pains. It will even end that debate re: should you sit or stand. Most things I find can be done just as well lying down πŸ˜‰ Lovely pics!

    • diannegray / Jul 13 2014 10:53 am

You’re right! Maybe I’ll just lie down and read all day πŸ˜‰ I’ll try to cut back on the champagne so I have less trips to the loo (LOL) πŸ˜‰

  11. JackieP / Jul 13 2014 9:59 am

I love the photos and yes, I’ve had to put my name on mine too lately. Also, if you ever figure out how to get up and down without using knees or muscles let me know eh? My knee is killing me and all this up and down is not helping lol.

    • diannegray / Jul 13 2014 10:55 am

Oh, Jackie – I really hope your knee is feeling better soon! Silly knee problems should be banned xxxx

      • JackieP / Jul 13 2014 11:26 am

thank you Dianne, you just don’t know how much you use something till it hurts lol
I’m sure you are familiar with that. xxx

  12. Amy / Jul 13 2014 10:10 am

Spectacular shots! At 4 am, wow!
Don’t know how you did it, congratulations for the accomplishment!

    • diannegray / Jul 13 2014 10:56 am

Thank you for the congrats! I’m really glad you like the shots (I wasn’t sure about them and if they looked okay when I posted them) πŸ˜‰

      • Amy / Jul 13 2014 10:59 am

I’m glad you put the watermarks on your photos.

  13. DaydreamsInWonderland / Jul 13 2014 10:17 am

I’m sorry to hear you’re aching. These pictures are GORGEOUS, though. Please use them for a book cover eventually!

    • diannegray / Jul 13 2014 10:58 am

I’m glad you think they’d be okay for a book cover! Maybe the book could be about werewolves πŸ˜€

My aching will go away (hopefully) with the assistance of champagne and chocolate πŸ˜‰

      • DaydreamsInWonderland / Jul 13 2014 11:53 am

You know I love stuff like that. πŸ˜› Mmm champagne & chocolate. Even if it doesn’t work that sounds like it will definitely put a smile on your face. πŸ˜€

      • diannegray / Jul 13 2014 3:14 pm

And that’s exactly what I need today – a smile on my face (I have one now I’ve read your comment) πŸ˜‰

      • DaydreamsInWonderland / Jul 13 2014 3:15 pm

Daaww shucks, Dianne. You always know how to lift my spirits. πŸ˜€

  14. francisguenette / Jul 13 2014 11:01 am

The moon shots are amazing! I’m hearing you on the screaming muscles issue – gardening for me – standing up might just be an option. Congratulations and champagne for breakfast sounds just about right.

    • diannegray / Jul 13 2014 3:12 pm

Yes – gardening does the same to me and it’s exactly the same pain 😦 But it’s great to sit back and see that it’s done, it (kind of) eases the pain (a bit) πŸ˜‰

I’m so glad you like the moon photos. It looked absolutely stunning this morning πŸ˜€

  15. Alarna Rose Gray / Jul 13 2014 11:52 am

These pictures are stunning. I do envy people who manage to be awake at these hours of the morning. It’s a magical time to be alive.

    • diannegray / Jul 13 2014 3:13 pm

It SO quiet and still and then the birds start waking up – oh yes, a magical time indeed, Alarna πŸ˜€

  16. Photos With Finesse / Jul 13 2014 12:21 pm

Nothing snaps open at 4am in my house – except for this morning. Must have been that pesky moon. I watermark anything I put online. Have had too many photography friends ripped off. Copyright is important. Gorgeous moon shots! Hope those muscles ease soon. Warm bath with Epsom Salts always helps me. πŸ™‚

    • diannegray / Jul 13 2014 3:17 pm

That moon was very bright this morning, Suzan (I thought I’d slept in) LOL πŸ˜€

A warm bath with Epsom Salts would be amazing! πŸ˜‰

I’m really glad you like my shots – I’m very flattered indeed!

  17. nrhatch / Jul 13 2014 1:05 pm

Gorgeous shots! Congrats on doing all those squats. I’m guessing that you need a “lean machine” so that you don’t have to sit and stand . . . you can just lean back and say “aah!”

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 5:18 am

I’ve never heard of a β€œlean machine”, Nancy. Can you please send me one ASAP? My address is 12 Pain Alley, Muscleville, Ache City πŸ˜‰

I’m so glad you like the moon shots. Getting up early certainly does have it’s advantages πŸ˜€

      • nrhatch / Jul 14 2014 9:35 am

I’m picturing a lean machine as one of those “gravity things” that you strap into and then swing back until you’re upside down . . . with a lock so you can set the angle of recline without having to do a 180!

BFF saw a gorgeous full moon this morning when he got up at 5 am. It was gone by the time I stirred.

      • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 2:37 pm

Ah yes, a lean machine! I need one of those to put all my spine discs back in their rightful places πŸ˜‰

BFF was very lucky to see that moon, I heard other parts of the US were too cloudy to catch a glimpse πŸ˜€

  18. agjorgenson / Jul 13 2014 1:38 pm

What beautiful pictures! And as for the signature, I think it is absolutely fine. Many bloggers do this. As for the sit and stand issue, you should look into a stand up desk. I’m considering one – I’ve heard good things about them.

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 5:23 am

I used to work with a man who had a ‘stand desk’ and he thought it was the best thing ever – I’m going to give it a try (thank you for the great idea!) πŸ˜€

      • agjorgenson / Jul 14 2014 5:33 am

let me know how it goes… I’m going to give it a go as well

  19. susipet / Jul 13 2014 1:42 pm

Lovely images and ooooh yes I know those aches and pains of just having pushed it a bit! But also the feeling of virtue at a task completed… So thanks for waking early to be able to share these with us!

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 5:25 am

Those pains have a love/hate relationship, Suzi. I love the fact that it’s done, but I’m bitterly reminded of it every second of the day πŸ˜‰ I’m really glad you like the pics! πŸ˜€

  20. Pagadan / Jul 13 2014 1:45 pm

I love your moon photos! Your sig is hardly noticeable. And I know how good it feels to have your floor project done. OK. Just lie down and think about how good it feels.

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 5:28 am

Lying down actually feels great, Joy! πŸ˜€

I can really notice the signature, but I guess that’s because I put it there and it seems to stand out to me. It’s hard trying to put nice photos up and at the same time not ruin them with a copywriter water sign – but I guess it has to be done.

  21. Gallivanta / Jul 13 2014 2:28 pm

Ouch, ouch, ouch. But great that the floor is all done. Beautiful moonset and your watermark is elegant.

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 5:29 am

Oh, thank you! I thought the watermark looked a little clunky so I’m really glad you think it’s elegant. You’ve made my day! πŸ˜€

  22. Bonnie / Jul 13 2014 3:58 pm

Dianne, gorgeous shots of the moonset! Though, getting up at 4 am is crazy – just last week I had to be up at 3:30am to get to the airport for an early flight and as I drove there I thought to myself, who ARE these people up and alive at 4 am?!? Lol.. Its you!
PS… Get a foam roller from your running or sports Store, your muscles will thank you! πŸ™‚

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 5:36 am

I’m heading out right now to get that foam roller, Bonnie! Thank you so much for the suggestion πŸ˜€

Getting up at 4 am is crazy and I miss the days when I used to be able to sleep in. It must the the fresh country air that wakes me so early (and the fact that I work a little too physically sometimes and fall asleep at about 6 pm!) I need to adjust my body clock πŸ˜‰

      • Bonnie / Jul 15 2014 8:15 am

I hope the foam roller helps!! I lovingly tease the 4am risers, simply because I am the antithesis of the morning person! πŸ™‚ You see a part of the day I rarely do πŸ™‚

  23. tw / Jul 13 2014 4:58 pm

Great news about the RUC, not so great for your muscles Dianne but what a reward after so much effort, a beautiful moonset. Love these photos and the colours you’ve captured πŸ™‚

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 5:39 am

The colours seemed to change every second and I didn’t really notice that until I started looking through the photos. I’m really glad you like them πŸ˜€

The RUC is taking far too long to complete, so when I reach milestones like this I’m overjoyed! πŸ˜‰

  24. Pauline Carroll / Jul 13 2014 5:24 pm

Those moon shots are truly surreal, the photo with the flowering cane in front, the trees in silhouette and that gorgeous aerial perspective of the ranges, just beautiful. I’m tucked in early then rise late in the morning (when the frosts have cleared…) over here so had not even noticed it was full moon time…

Pleased to hear RUC is coming along so well.

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 5:43 am

You need to stay tucked in bed during the winter frosts, Pauline, it’s the best place to be! πŸ˜€

I’m really glad you like the moon shots, it’s so difficult to capture it’s true beauty at times because it’s so very illusive xxxx

  25. davidprosser / Jul 13 2014 5:38 pm

The pictures are wonderful and your signature doesn’t spoil them at all. It’s better to have your copyright protected anyway. If someone uses one and doesn’t credit you in future at least your name will show who took it.
I hope the aches and pains soon go away. Well done on finishing the job. As for the champagne for breakfast, I’m sure in some places it’s de rigeur so you won’t be out of place.
    xxx Hugs Galore xxx

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 5:53 am

Thanks so much, David! Yes – I figured at least if the pictures are used my name will be on them so it points people in my direction. I haven’t really bothered with this before until someone told me they have seen my shots on other sites. I really don’t mind if people use them as long as they credit me with taking them πŸ™‚

      The champagne is wonderful! πŸ˜€

  26. Rebecca Bradley / Jul 13 2014 6:02 pm

Beautiful photographs. I’ve seen my photos being used without permission as well. I might look into software to do this. Not that my photos look anything like yours!

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 6:01 am

Thank you so much for the compliment, Rebecca πŸ˜€ I’ve never seen my shots as professional and I don’t make a living out of them (although I’d LOVE to!), but if people are going to use them the least they can do is give me some credit.

I used GIMP to put the watermarks there. It’s a free site and once you learn how to use it, it’s amazing what you can do! I’ve been using it for a while to practice making book covers (as you know I’ve never really been happy with my book covers) so I’m almost an ‘expert’ on the site now πŸ˜‰

  27. Naomi Baltuck / Jul 13 2014 6:10 pm

Congratulations, Dianne! Champagne for breakfast? You bet! Just mix a little orange juice in it, and call it a healthy dose of Vitamin C. and the photos are beautiful.

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 6:02 am

LOL! What a great idea, Naomi! Vitamin C is a fabulous start to the day πŸ˜€

I’m so glad you like the photos πŸ˜‰

  28. John / Jul 13 2014 6:53 pm

ohhhhhhh so lucky with comments! Sooo damn lucky…

  29. anotherday2paradise / Jul 13 2014 7:45 pm

Dianne, your moon photos are absolutely magical. They would make a great book cover for one of your novels. Well done on the floor boards. You’re certainly a glutton for punishment, but at least your muscles will recover, and now you know just how many extra ones you have. πŸ™‚ I love your watermark. I must have a look to see how one does that, when I have some time to spare, which isn’t right now. 😯 xx

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 6:18 am

I used GIMP to put the watermarks on them, Sylvia. It’s a free online photo tool. I found it really difficult to navigate at first, but my persistence has paid off and now I can use it with ease. But I’m sure you have no spare time to learn how to use a new tool (I really hope everything isn’t too crazy with the move!) πŸ˜€

Thank you for the compliment about using them for a book cover! I must be getting better at taking photos πŸ˜‰

      • anotherday2paradise / Jul 14 2014 6:23 am

Thanks so much, Dianne. No time right now, but I had got ahead of myself, thinking it was a week later than it really is, so tonight I’m celebrating the fact that we still have 3 weeks in this house, instead of the two I’d thought we had. πŸ˜€

  30. EllaDee / Jul 13 2014 7:55 pm

Champagne for a celebration breakfast, of course, and wine for aching muscles. Wonderful moon set: sometimes 4 am is the best hour of the day. I’ve acknowledged the rising full-super moon but it’s a little chilly here for moon gazing πŸ™‚

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 6:40 am

I’ve heard it’s very chilly there at the moment, Annie (that wind off the Snowy Mountains doesn’t help) xxx

Yes – champagne, the breakfast of champions! πŸ˜‰

  31. valleygrail / Jul 13 2014 7:57 pm

Lovely photos! I think moving as much as possible is supposed to help. However, personally, I think pain is a good messenger who tells me to sit down and wait for it to pass.

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 7:06 am

I’m so glad you like the photos, I’ve only just started (over the past 12 months) taking them. I got a camera for my birthday in November 2012 and I absolutely love it! (but am still trying to figure it out because I lost the instruction booklet) lol πŸ˜‰
I agree with you on the pain messenger – it doesn’t let you get away with too much! πŸ˜€

  32. ramblingsfromamum / Jul 13 2014 10:00 pm

Glad you finished the flooring, must look so lovely now, as do your photos. I know about those muscles I am suffering too right now as Friday I went and cleaned the house for the open on Saturday. I think I went a little overboard, cleaning from 11am to 2am, my calf muscles and knees and fingers the worst right now .. Have to love aging

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 7:08 am

Oh dear – you feel my pain and I feel your pain and we all feel pain together. Yep – that aging thing is getting really annoying πŸ˜‰

  33. restlessjo / Jul 14 2014 12:44 am

Poor you! 😦 The name is very subtly done, Dianne, and what fabulous moonsets πŸ™‚

    • diannegray / Jul 17 2014 7:57 am

Thank you do much, Jo! I’m so glad you like the moonset πŸ˜€

  34. ocdreader / Jul 14 2014 12:47 am

That happened to me after jetskiing all weekend which translated into doing a million squats at high speed. I couldn’t climb stairs or sit down in my chair at work, IT HURT! So I wouldn’t say age, as I was 20 nothing at the time, more abuse of muscles who are now protesting quite loudly! Good luck, stretch and do a lot of complaining! πŸ™‚
Love the pictures! The moon is HUGE!!!

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 7:16 am

Oh dear – I tried not to laugh at your comment, but just couldn’t help myself. The visualization of doing a million squats at high speed is one of the best I’ve heard in a long time! You poor thing. It’s so incredibly painful! I didn’t put this in this post, but the worst part is trying to sit on the toilet – dear god, what an effort! lol πŸ˜€

      • ocdreader / Jul 14 2014 8:43 am

        Right?! Completely ridiculous!
I remember that being a major issue as well!! Good luck! πŸ˜€

  35. Jacqui Murray / Jul 14 2014 12:48 am

How the heck did you think you could lay floorboard. I would never have even tackled that one. You are amazing.

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 7:18 am

I’ve done the entire house, Jacqui. I had to because ‘other people’ (mentioning no names) can be very lazy at times πŸ˜‰ It’s amazing what we can do when we put our minds to it (and get cranky – lol) πŸ˜€

  36. Andrea Stephenson / Jul 14 2014 12:53 am

What a wonderful sight to celebrate a job done – beautiful photos of that gorgeous moon.

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 7:22 am

The super moon setting was a great finale to the floors being finished! (I hadn’t thought of that until I read your comment, Andrea) πŸ˜‰

The moon is so lovely and I often try and get pictures of it with little success. I’m so glad they turned out okay this time πŸ˜€

  37. bulldog / Jul 14 2014 2:16 am

Having champagne for breakfast? might just solve all the aches and pains …. just make sure you have enough of it,,,,

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 7:28 am

Champagne for breakfast would probably solve many of the worlds problems as well, Rob! πŸ˜€

  38. Roy McCarthy / Jul 14 2014 2:58 am

Well captured Dianne – it’s like the moon is just rolling along that treeline. Well done on the flooring – a most important job.

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 7:31 am

It does seem like it’s just ‘sitting there’, Roy. I wanted to get a video of it sinking behind the mountains but couldn’t take pics and video at the same time (I need to get to know my camera better!) πŸ˜‰

  39. jannatwrites / Jul 14 2014 7:16 am

The moon pics are great… I did notice the watermark, but it didn’t distract from the photos. I know your pain of overworked, unknown muscles (I felt them when doing rocks.) Hope you are moving smoothly again soon!

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 7:34 am

Thank you, Janna πŸ˜€ I’m trying to keep them all moving so I don’t seize up πŸ˜€

I’m glad you like the moon pics and the watermark wasn’t distracting. At first I thought it stuck out and ruined the pictures, but the more I look at them the easier on the eye they become xxx

  40. Amy Reese / Jul 14 2014 9:08 am

Congrats on the completed flooring in the RUC! Cheers! Drink a glass for me. What beautiful pics. Maybe a nice bubble bath for your muscles to go with that champagne!

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 2:32 pm

Oh yes – you’re talking my language, Amy! I love bubble baths πŸ˜€

  41. Denise Hisey / Jul 14 2014 1:15 pm

Wow! Those are spectacular photos Dianne.
PS: phooey on those who are stealing your pics, I support you for marking them as yours!

    • diannegray / Jul 14 2014 2:38 pm

Thank so much, Denise! And I’m really glad you like them πŸ˜€

  42. the eternal traveller / Jul 14 2014 7:59 pm

Lovely photos Dianne. I always reduce the size of my photos right down and watermark them. It won’t stop anyone from using them online, but the quality would be no good for printing.

I know someone who says that she always thought her natural waking time was 5 am until she retired and then she realised that it was actually 7 am!!

    • diannegray / Jul 15 2014 5:08 am

I was thinking I should make them smaller so I’m going with you on this one! What a great idea πŸ˜€

I wish my body clock would change my waking time. By 6 pm I’m ready for bed! (It’s a vicious circle) πŸ˜‰

      • the eternal traveller / Jul 15 2014 9:47 am

Try for your photo editing. It’s free and super easy to use. I reduce the size of my pictures and then use the text button to add my name. I try to make the photos about 100 kb.

      • diannegray / Jul 15 2014 10:20 am

I’ve used Picmonkey and love it. I also use GIMP – it’s a little more complex but you can do heaps with it (I use it mainly for book covers) πŸ˜‰

      • the eternal traveller / Jul 15 2014 10:21 pm

I’ve been taking heaps of photos on our WA trip and I’ve decided I really need a new camera. My current one has difficulty focusing which is probably a result of it being soaked by seawater when we were on Fraser Island and my husband thought it would be a good idea to drive through a wave! I will do some camera research when we are home again.

Gorgeous photos! Does this happen to be the Super Moon we had over the weekend?

  44. Janna G. Noelle / Jul 15 2014 12:48 am

Nice pics! Man, that moon is BIG. Far be it from spoiling the pictures, the last one with the title and your name on it looks like a book cover. πŸ™‚

    • diannegray / Jul 15 2014 5:17 am

Woah, what a wonderful compliment, Janna! I may just use that for a book cover one day. I’m so glad you like the pics! πŸ˜€

  45. billyraychitwood1 / Jul 15 2014 3:06 am

I’m aching just reading! But the champagne perked me up. πŸ™‚ Love the pictures you take.

    • diannegray / Jul 15 2014 5:17 am

LOL – thanks so much for going out in sympathy with me, Billy Ray! Cheers! πŸ˜€

  46. Luanne / Jul 15 2014 7:14 am

Congrats, Dianne! What a satisfying feeling. It will last long after the sore muscles ;).

    • diannegray / Jul 15 2014 7:42 am

That’s right, Luanne. The floor will be there long after my muscles settle down! πŸ˜€

  47. Daphne Shadows / Jul 16 2014 2:52 pm

No apologies. You’re owed the comment; you’re the one who took them.

  48. Minuscule Moments / Jul 16 2014 7:27 pm

Dianne I love your marmalade super moon, those photos are so dreamlike. Sorry to hear you are suffering and hope you can sit back and enjoy the bubbles now.

    • diannegray / Jul 17 2014 5:15 am

Oh, yes, Kath – those bubbles were beautiful! πŸ˜€

  49. Polysyllabic Profundities / Jul 18 2014 8:17 am

Mmmmm…..champagne for breakfast with a touch of fresh orange juice. πŸ˜‰ Those photos are spectacular!!

    • diannegray / Jul 18 2014 12:04 pm

Thank you, my dear. Champagne for breakfast was very yummy indeed – cheers! πŸ˜‰

  50. jmmcdowell / Jul 18 2014 9:45 am

Lovely photos, Dianne! I can empathize with the discomfort those hidden muscles can bring. Going up and down three flights of stairs with this move is bringing mine to the forefront, too. Congratulations on getting the flooring done! One (hopefully pain-free) step closer to being finished. πŸ˜€

    • diannegray / Jul 18 2014 12:06 pm

I was exhausted after going up and down our stairs when we first moved here, but it’s amazing how you get used to it after a while. It must be called ‘stair fitness’ and surely it must be good for you (that’s what I keep telling myself) πŸ˜‰

  51. Kourtney Heintz / Jul 19 2014 5:32 am

Wow these are gorgeous. I honestly didn’t notice your name in the photos until you mentioned it. You did a great job making it subtle.

    • diannegray / Jul 19 2014 6:57 am

That makes me feel so much better, Kourtney – I thought I may have wrecked them with my name being there. Thank you! πŸ˜€

  52. Britt Skrabanek / Jul 22 2014 4:01 am

Stunning moon pix and congrats on finishing the floors! That’s no easy task. On the champagne for breakfast thing…you know my vote. ; )

    • diannegray / Jul 22 2014 12:34 pm

YAY – I KNEW you’d back me up on that one, Britt πŸ˜€

  53. Zen A. / Jul 22 2014 9:00 am

Go, you! Congrats on finishing all the flooring! And those are very nice pictures – I don’t blame you one bit for putting your name on them; it does suck when people don’t give credit, especially when it’s intentional.

    • diannegray / Jul 22 2014 12:37 pm

The flooring being finished is a big relief for me, Zen. SO HAPPY! πŸ˜€

  54. Hazy Shades of Me / Jul 27 2014 3:57 am

You deserve a coffee maker and all the fixings right on your desk. No ups and downs then! Either that, or a mini fridge because I believe that if you throw a splash or orange or cranberry into the Champagne, it’s a completely acceptable breakfast beverage!

    Beautiful photos!

    • diannegray / Jul 27 2014 5:57 am

I love the idea of a mini fridge right next to my writing space! πŸ˜€

  55. Inion N. Mathair / Aug 27 2014 10:28 am

Oh my gosh, Diane these are stunning!! Again, my mother is going to freak!!! Sharing these now so all can enjoy!! No worries dear we always do it in a way that throws readers right back to your blog. πŸ˜‰ xoxo

    • diannegray / Aug 28 2014 11:06 am

You are wonderful and I really hope your mother loves these pics! πŸ˜€

  56. Piper George / Sep 21 2014 8:06 pm

Those pictures are beautiful! I can see why people ‘borrow’ your pictures. Stunning.
