Nooky Nookington
My Writer’s Nook is ready and waiting for me to get into the three WIPs I’ve been thinking about for the past 6 months. Every morning when I sit here and have my coffee my muse flies past and slaps me on the back of the head. It’s getting painful…
Below is what the Nook looked like when we had the snake incident
The ‘now shot’ is taken at a similar angle through the kitchen door.
My preferred position is North-facing. I can’t sit anywhere else because the view is overwhelming and I just know I’ll start to daydream and end up with another slap on the back of the head from my muse.
I’ll still be checking out your blogs every morning, but I won’t be posting any new blogs for the next few months (unless something amazing comes up – like the Booker Prize or writer’s block).
I checked out my stats this morning to see my top 6 commenters. It would be really nice if you could look after them while I’m writing till my fingers bleed.
I also checked out my spam. Instead of trashing, I’ve decided to respond (I’m good like that).
Here goes:
I have been surfing on-line greater than 3 hours as of late, but I by no means discovered any attention-grabbing article like yours. Woah! Three hours, I’m impressed – now get back to work.
It’s pretty price sufficient for me. Personally, if all web owners and bloggers made just right content as you did, the internet might be a lot more helpful than ever before. I know. Please leave your money on the fridge on the way out.
I am in fact thankful to the owner of this website who has shared this impressive paragraph at here. Only a paragraph? Gee…thanks…
I am sure that what you have said will definitely pierce the ears of your readers and make them think more deeply about it. Am I really THAT LOUD?
Excellent blog you have here but I was wanting to know if you knew of any user discussion forums that cover the same topics discussed here? This is my “About” page. I’m sure there are a MILLION user forums falling over themselves to discuss me and my dogs.
You hit the nail on the head my friend! Some people just don’t get it! I know, that’s what I think about my amazing “About” page as well! Weird isn’t it?
I don’t even know how I ended up here, however I thought this post used to be good. I don’t recognize who you’re however certainly you are going to a famous blogger if you happen to are not already. Cheers! I don’t know how you ended up here either. Famous blogger? Yup – now you’ve hit the nail on the head!
According to police, a man police believe to be the subject of a campaign of keylogger and safety solution by expanding government and corporate, but I am afraid – not now. Be afraid, be very afraid.
Stay safe!
Brilliant, I reckon you’ve earned a bit of writing time Dianne. And we’re all green with envy at your working conditions. Looking forward to more great works. (PS I hope you didn’t really reply to the spam – don’t you know it will just increase a millionfold now? :-))

Oh, that’s a very ZEN writer’s nook.
I guess that’s because you’re so easily distracted!
OW! Your muse just smacked me on the back of the head.
She says that she’s the ONLY ONE who gets to tease you about your distractability.
She also says that distractability is NOT a real word.

I sometimes forget to take the ‘before’ shots – if the snake hadn’t appeared I probably wouldn’t have got a ‘before’ shot of the nook. I try to get shots of the place from every angle, but then I ‘file’ them and can’t find them again (LOL) 😉

Great Nook. Up here in N. Wisconsin it’s not quite warm enough even in MID SUMMER to sit outside early and write. I used to write indoors — facing a blank wall — actually sitting at a corner computer table that I had built facing into the corner. I like your space better!
Write, write, write…. bill paying is much more important than shooting the breeze with your WordPress family — but not more important than getting a dry space underneath the roof over your head. You look like you’ve pretty well sussed out the roof part, so on to better and bigger things.
My Reader will remind me when you post and I’ll eagerly come along for the ride.

Haha! Great post Dianne! I know there’s nothing I would like better than for a spammer to pierce my ears! Unless it was a telemarketer to pierce my belly button! 😀 I’ve got to go check out the snake incident now! You deck is breathingtaking btw! 😀

Ps, thanks for the mention as a top commenter. I feel as though I don’t around nearly as often as I’d like to! 🙂 Have a nice three months off. I have the tea or coffee set out. Which do you prefer? Or maybe lemonade in the hot afternoon?

Awww – thank you SO much. The writing’s been put on hold for a week while I’m down visiting my mum. But I have been getting into it and have the entire ‘writer gets kidnapped by serial killer’ book in my head – it’s an absolutely blast with more twists and turns than I could have ever imagined! Just loving it 😀 Hope you’re well xoxoxo

Your Writer’s Nook looks really lovely, Dianne! The ideal spot for writing. =D
Also, how are you? I’m afraid I’ve been pretty bad at catching up with other people’s blogs. 😦

I’m very well thanks, Zen. I’ve been travelling around a bit to see my mother who is not well, but I’m back at the farm now (and sitting on the writer’s nook as we speak). It’s hard to catch up with all the blogs so I know how you feel 😉 I hope you’re well and the writing is going well 😀

Thank you so much – I’m so glad you’re enjoying it (you’ve made my day!) I’ve been away visiting my mother who is very unwell and I’ve only just returned to the farm. My writing has taken a bit of a backseat in the last few weeks, but I’m going to try and get back into it again now to take my mind off things. I hope you’re well. I’ve missed seeing your beautiful pictures every day 😀

Hope those WIPs are coming along nicely, Dianne. I love your writer’s nook. I have a new place to write, too. Rich built a deck off the kitchen. I never knew how much I would enjoy writing outside.

Writing outside is the best! I’m going well and the WIPs are coming along nicely. It’s wonderful that Rich built you your own little writer’s nook – that’s so very sweet. What a darling he is 😉

I love your writer’s nook. Hopefully you won’t get too many snake visits! It helps to step away from the blog every once in a while. I missed you and your creatures while I was gone though!

I just stopped by to say hi, Dianne. I haven’t heard from you in so long, I wondered how the writing is coming. I can’t wait for your next book! 🙂 I’ve slowed way down on the blogging, too. Carol has Manny and is touring Europe with him, and will be bringing him home to Australia with her. Hope things are going well. Miss you! 🙂

Thanks so much for dropping in to say hello, Marsha. It’s wonderful to hear from you. I’ve been flat out – I was trying to get my writing done and then my mum took a turn for the worse and I’ve been visiting her. I’m back at the farm now and she’s on her third round of chemo. I’m trying to settle back into things, but it’s not easy to stay focused. Although – I did win a makeover in the local newspaper and I’m considering writing a post about it. I’ve been dropping in to see how you’re going but haven’t left any comments because I was using my phone to read your posts in the hospital and am not sure how to comment with the phone 😉

I’ve thoroughly missed you! It is hard to make comments on the phone. If you get someone liking your post while you are making a comment, your comment disappears. Sometimes it just doesn’t post! It’s a pain, so you can just browse quietly and know that I’m thinking about you. I’m so sorry to hear about your mom! You have a lot going on in your life right now! Feel free to email me if you just need to chat. tchistorygal@gmail.com. 🙂

Thanks so much for dropping by, Denise. I’ve been very busy with writing as well as traveling to see my mum. I keep thinking I should update here, but the time just seems to be flying by. The fact that one of the new puppies ate my glasses doesn’t really help with trying to write, but I just got a text telling me my new glasses have arrived at the store so I’m going to pick them up today. I hope you’re well 🙂

Thank you so much, my dear 😀 Things are trundling along here – the RUC is going well (but I probably spend far to much time on the physical side of things) and the writing is a little slow, but I’m getting there 😉 I really hope everything is going well for you xxx

Hi Dianne,
Wondering how the WIP’s are going…? I’ve been on hiatus from my WP blog for 6+ months and slowly thawing out. I’ve missed you and my other writing buddies and decided to stop by and say hello! Happy Trails and Writing Magic to you. Thanksgiving is around the corner for us in the USA. I’m thankful for plenty this year; especially family, friends, and the gift of life. ❤ 🙂
Stay blessed,
