It’s ‘Read an e-Book’ week
Smashwords is running a week-long promotional event for e-Books. They’ve dubbed it Read an eBook Week and it runs from March 2nd through to March 8th.
I’ve decided to join in the fun and am offering all my books for free on Smashwords until March 8. If you’d like to read them I’ve listed them below with a coupon code so you can get them for gratis, nix, nothing, free (I think you get the drift) 😀
All you need to do is choose the book (or all of them if you like), go into Smashwords and use the code RW100 at the checkout.

In the meantime I thought I’d share two pics of us walking the dogs to the creek for a swim. We do this every afternoon (the dogs love it and it’s great exercise for us too!)

It’s not very deep at the crossing which is great for the dogs. Last week it was very full when we took them down there and the little black one wasn’t use to that and ran straight in and got washed away! I was yelling at hubby to go get her, but she managed to find the bank further down stream and make her way back. Now she won’t go in if the water is too deep for her to touch the bottom 😀

Oh no. That must have been very scary!! Neither one of our dogs like water; they run if we pick up the hose, and they won’t go outside if it’s raining. Good thing we hardly ever get rain!

I included one very similar to my black dog in The Eleventh Question 😀 I just love animals (my MIL even has cats on the farm and the dogs don’t worry them at all). We must get some chickens again once I rebuild the chicken coop 😀

I don’t have much time for reading either (and I just unpacked more boxes from the move – about 12 months too late) to find more books… argh. I wish I had brought my big book shelf with me 😉
I just love living at the farm. The creek is about 5 minutes walk and I’m thinking of putting up a No Trespassing sign because I found some rubbish down there last week (that wasn’t left by us). People think they can just drive all over other peoples property here! (That’s my angry voice) 😉

smiles – it’s nice to say hi and let her know she is thought of 🙂 I have my workbook for the MC course staring at me… read me read me… ech. Yes do put up a sign – if it will help? will it help? Too pretty a spot to end up rubbish ridden..where would the dogs swim then?? 😉

Looks claustrophobic up that track – is that sugar cane or some such like growing in the fields? Does your creek ever run dry?

It’s sugar cane, Roy 😉 The creek never runs dry because it comes from a mountain stream. It can get very low, but when it rains it rages. The little black dog (I call her ‘little’ only because she’s the smallest of the 4) got washed away a few weeks back after we had heavy rain. She didn’t realise the depth of the water, so she’s a lot more cautious these days! 😀

Fields are great. I used to have to walk mine around the city and that was a bit of a disaster because they needed to have leads on (and they didn’t like that) 😉

Dianne, that’s super generous of you! My friend and I who met in a book club (we’re all that’s left of the club) are planning to read The Eleventh Question for our own two-person book club. I’m excited to get my hands on Wolf Pear especially as well. The premise sounds so interesting – I do love gardening – plus I’m sure a psychic detective is a cool character to follow.
Wow – you certainly have a lot of dogs. And they all look very large (I get a wee bit nervous around big dogs).

I used to have two dogs, but hubby (in his great wisdom) bought home two new puppies last year (it’s like living with a kid sometimes). I wasn’t happy at the time, but I learned to love them very quickly 😉

The dogs are really happy here. The German Shepherd is old (for a German Shepherd) at 11 years and acts like he’s retired from his guard dog duties in the city. I’ve never seen him so happy and so free 😉 The little black dog had bad arthritis at about 6 months old and we had her to the vet a lot. She was so crippled at one point that she couldn’t stand up to eat. Once she came to the farm I discovered ‘green lipped mussel’ (I do a lot of research when are dogs are not well) and now she bounds to the creek like a star! The two others are still just puppies and run around like mad things – it’s just wonderful to be surrounded by such beautiful pets 😉

The creek is beautiful, Hazy. After they cut the sugar cane it’s a very quick walk from the back of the house, but now that the sugar cane is fully grown we have to walk down the road which takes a little longer, but the dogs absolutely love it no matter which track we take 😀
