On the Go Go
One day soon I’ll be able to stop and write, but in the meantime it’s all go, go, go!
Last night I visited more old friends and was treated to a beautiful dinner.
Their house is at Behana Gorge down the road and my pictures certainly don’t do it justice.
I found another snakeskin. When I told my friend she said it had come from “Mr Friendly”, a brown tree snake who lives in one of the big trees out the front of the house (another bookmark!)
A little green tree frog said hello to me outside. The picture is a bit blurry because he decided to jump at me just as I took it. I didn’t get the chance to find out if he was my Prince Charming because I wiped his lovely big kiss off my face and didn’t try for another.
“Mr Fluffy” is their lovely white Shepherd
The moon came up over the mountains and said hello 😉
Today is another day that will be spent fixing the old farmhouse – and tomorrow…maybe I’ll get stuck into the WIPs!
I say WIPs because I always work on two different novels at the same time. Maybe I should explain why in my next post…
Just another day in the NT 🙂

I think I did pretty well with the moon. It was full the night before last so now it’s on the wane and seemed a little misshapen! 😉

I got a new camera, Carrie – so next time the moon is full and there are more clouds I’ll be out there doing my thing! I should be able to work it one day 😉

Jeez with the snake! I guess you’re used to it by now. 😉 Their house is lovely indeed!
And that is interesting that you work on two pieces at once. How? Do explain sometime. 😉

I’m thinking about that for my next post – I’ve never been able to work on one WIP at a time 😉

I haven’t tried working on two WIPs at the same time, but I can read more than one book, so I suppose I could. Since I have two NaNo novels to edit now, I will find out if I can work on two at once. 🙂

I find it sooo much easier – now I just have to figure out how to explain that and have it make sense as well 😉

It also has to to with your “stacking order.” Some people can only read one book or focus on one creative project at a time. Others of us need to be able to switch gears frequently without losing momentum . . . we keep one ball in play while pushing another to the “back burner” for a bit.

I may or may not use it as a bookmark, Letizia and yes – I am a bit of a tease 😀

We were at a dinner party last night as well. And when we saw the moon we wanted to go to the beach and watch it from there, but never ended up going. …. I wish there had been a frog (possible) Prince at this party!!!

Hahaha! I love Prince Charming. Maybe next time! 😀

How lovely to be almost kissed by a cute little frog. 😀 Mr Fluffy is so adorable, and your moon shot is lovely. Dinner with friends in a beautiful old house would be my idea of a perfect evening. Maybe you can save the snake skins and make some sandals. I have a pair, and I love them. 🙂
LikeLike
If I keep finding them at this rate, I’ll definitely have enough for a pair of sandals! I think it’s the time of year where they are all shedding their skin – maybe I’m doing the same with the big changes I’m making in my life 😀
It was certainly a perfect evening and the house is lovely and filled with antique furniture (which I love and can’t wait to get mine sent up when the farmhouse is finished) 😉

The house is lovely. So is the moon. And the dog. And the frog.

Another snake skin? Is this perhaps a sign from the universe? My image of you is now morphing into someone wearing snake skin boots while writing at your computer! 😉
Good luck with all the house work, but do make time for those WIPs!

Who are these friends of yours? I’m so jealous: they live in a dream house, have a beautiful white dog, are surrounded by tree frogs and friendly snakes, and get to have Dianne Gray over for dinner. Did they win the lottery or something? 🙂

The snake skins are great! When I found this one, I told my friend and she said, “That’s from Mr Friendly, he’s the brown tree snake up in that tree – a lovely old chap.” LOL!

Wow, more snake skins! Beautiful in a scary way. I was thinking, I don’t write two fiction pieces at once, but I suppose the professional writing I do for a living counts as one and the book I am working on counts as another. And then there is the blog! Writing is fun, isn’t it?
