Cat Moon

It was a cat moon kind of night on Friday night. I was out on the writer’s nook writing a short story when I looked up and saw this. For a brief moment I thought I was being stalked by a celestial feline (and there isn’t even a cat in the story – maybe I should add one).

Cat moon5

I also got some pretty cool pics of birds the other day. I’m going to send them to the local newspaper. Hopefully they’ll like them – I’ll let you know how I go.

*** Have a great week! ***

Wow! That’s an incredible shot, Dianne. The newspaper would be crazy not to publish it. I’ve never seen something quite like that. Thanks for sharing! xo

So glad you like it, Jill. I’m going to send the bird shots to the newspaper – I don’t think they’ll publish the moon shot because it’s now been published here. If they don’t publish the bird shots I’ll put them up here – YAY πŸ˜€

I think there’s a load of good photographers in this area and somehow I just don’t make the grade πŸ˜‰ Oh well, I’ll just keep trying. If they don’t take the pics I sent yesterday I’ll put them in my next post πŸ˜€

That is so funny! And do your moons really wax and wane up and down instead of left and right like they do in the Northern Hemisphere? Or is there just a well-placed cloud covering the top of the moon so perfectly?

The ‘facing down’ moon is what it looks like in the tropics. If you go further north or further south it goes sideways πŸ˜€ I remember when I first came to live here I thought there was ‘something wrong’ with the moon – LOL πŸ˜€
