Moonset

I wake up early (yeah – 4am is my Eyes snap open. What do I need to do today? More hours required time).

For the last two days I’ve been laying floorboards in the bedroom and I can tell you straight up – I’ve got muscles I never knew existed screaming at me every time I take a step (and as my kids would say, “Don’t take a step then”).

I feel like I’ve done 10,000 squats and trying to get out of bed this morning was akin to taking a plunge off the side of the Grand Canyon.

The next challenge came when I tried to sit down in front of the computer, then stand up again to make myself a coffee (I’m trying to figure out how to get through the day without having to sit down and stand up and I’m running out of options).

But the good news is – all the flooring in the RUC is now completed!

Is it okay to drink champagne for breakfast?

Cheers 😀

I was lucky enough this morning to catch the moon setting over the mountains to the west. What a beautiful sight!

You may have noticed I’ve put my name on these pics. I hope it hasn’t spoiled them, but I’ve found some of my pics floating around the internet. I don’t mind people using them as long as they credit the original to me.

Have a wonderful week all!

Who needs exercise videos when you’ve got floorboards to keep you toned? 🙂

The pictures are gorgeous. I put my name on my photos now, too. People often don’t realize they’re not supposed to just take any image they want and use it, so it’s best to at least get credit for it.

That’s right, Carrie 😀 At least if I’ve got my name on them and they are used, people will be able to see they are mine 😉

No exercise videos for me! Maybe I should have taken a video of me putting down the floor boards and sold it as an exercise video 🙂

Ah…the Super Moon…it’s so beautiful! It did make me feel as though I overslept all night long, the room was so bright. It should be around again this evening. It’s a full moon, but what makes it “Super” is the fact that it’s closer to Earth. How cool is that?
Anyone who has done, or feels like they’ve done 10,000 squats, deserves champagne for breakfast. Cheers, Dianne! xo

Great shots of the moon! We couldn’t see it last night because of cloud cover – maybe tonight.

Magic, magic photos! 😄 Getting up early has its advantages!

I chased the rising super moon on my way home from the city last night. There was a lot of cloud about and I couldn’t see it from the train. Jumped in my car at the station and cursed all the dawdlers on the road 😉 Then, I spied it peeking its big orange head out of the clouds through a hole in a hedge on a road near home, but by the time I’d turned around and parked, it had slid behind the clouds, only to appear much later, no longer huge and orange.

I would love to have got a picture of it rising instead of setting (it always seems bigger when it’s rising for some reason) but to get that pic I have to run to the other side of my mother-in-laws house because it blocks my view of the east – very thoughtless of her (LOL) 😉

Well captured Dianne – it’s like the moon is just rolling along that treeline. Well done on the flooring – a most important job.

It does seem like it’s just ‘sitting there’, Roy. I wanted to get a video of it sinking behind the mountains but couldn’t take pics and video at the same time (I need to get to know my camera better!) 😉

The moon pics are great… I did notice the watermark, but it didn’t distract from the photos. I know your pain of overworked, unknown muscles (I felt them when doing rocks.) Hope you are moving smoothly again soon!

Thank you, Janna 😀 I’m trying to keep them all moving so I don’t seize up 😀

I’m glad you like the moon pics and the watermark wasn’t distracting. At first I thought it stuck out and ruined the pictures, but the more I look at them the easier on the eye they become xxx

Congrats on the completed flooring in the RUC! Cheers! Drink a glass for me. What beautiful pics. Maybe a nice bubble bath for your muscles to go with that champagne!

Lovely photos Dianne. I always reduce the size of my photos right down and watermark them. It won’t stop anyone from using them online, but the quality would be no good for printing.

I know someone who says that she always thought her natural waking time was 5 am until she retired and then she realised that it was actually 7 am!!

I was thinking I should make them smaller so I’m going with you on this one! What a great idea 😀

I wish my body clock would change my waking time. By 6 pm I’m ready for bed! (It’s a vicious circle) 😉

Try Picmonkey.com for your photo editing. It’s free and super easy to use. I reduce the size of my pictures and then use the text button to add my name. I try to make the photos about 100 kb.

I’ve used Picmonkey and love it. I also use GIMP – it’s a little more complex but you can do heaps with it (I use it mainly for book covers) 😉

I’ve been taking heaps of photos on our WA trip and I’ve decided I really need a new camera. My current one has difficulty focusing which is probably a result of it being soaked by seawater when we were on Fraser Island and my husband thought it would be a good idea to drive through a wave! I will do some camera research when we are home again.

Nice pics! Man, that moon is BIG. Far be it from spoiling the pictures, the last one with the title and your name on it looks like a book cover. 🙂

Lovely photos, Dianne! I can empathize with the discomfort those hidden muscles can bring. Going up and down three flights of stairs with this move is bringing mine to the forefront, too. Congratulations on getting the flooring done! One (hopefully pain-free) step closer to being finished. 😀

I was exhausted after going up and down our stairs when we first moved here, but it’s amazing how you get used to it after a while. It must be called ‘stair fitness’ and surely it must be good for you (that’s what I keep telling myself) 😉

You deserve a coffee maker and all the fixings right on your desk. No ups and downs then! Either that, or a mini fridge because I believe that if you throw a splash or orange or cranberry into the Champagne, it’s a completely acceptable breakfast beverage!

    Beautiful photos!
