The Life Enthusiast Chronicles with Dianne

The lovely and talented Britt Skrabanek posts a monthly series called The Life Enthusiast Chronicles. This month she has featured yours truly. Head on over and check it out šŸ™‚

Britt Skrabanek

Last month blogger gal palĀ Kate JohnstonĀ revealedĀ her passion for wolves, encouraging us to take a moment to think about how much we could save if we all fought for something wild.Ā In my series,Ā The Life Enthusiast Chronicles,Ā fantastic humans from all overĀ uncover what makes them passionateĀ about life.

Today Iā€™m stoked toĀ bring youā€”all the way from Australiaā€”Dianne Gray. Iā€™ve had the privilege of getting to know Dianne through the blogging universe. Along the way I have found a fellow writer with a heart of gold, someone I look up to very much. So far, of her many novels out there, I have only read ā€œThe Everything Theoryā€ā€¦and I was blown away. Beyond the amazing award-winning author that she is, Dianne is a terrific human who has a knack for making us laugh and cry as we read her blog whichĀ explores the beautiful transitions of life. Sheā€™s a Lifeā€¦

Wonderful share, Dianne. I knew most of your story . . . but reading through it all at once hit me in a different way.

You have bounced back from a heaping helping of adversity with brilliant strength and sparkling wit!

    You rock!

Thank you so much, Nancy. I actually didn’t realise until I wrote it all down how bad things were and how everything happened at once. I think I just went through the motions at the time and dealt with things the best I could. Sitting back now and looking at it like that was very cathartic for me. I don’t think I had the time to process it all before this and I cried a lot when I wrote it! Oh dear – I’m glad it’s out of my system now šŸ˜‰

Dianne, how great to get to know you a little more; what a series of challenging moments and events to have to go through in such a rapid successsion. Wishing you hadn’t had to endure so many big bumps, but shows what a strong woman you really are- and you are so happy and positive – truly a life enthusiast!! Glad to know you a little more through this and makes me appreciate for you even more the RUC and restoring it to it’s glory! šŸ™‚

Amazing Dianne, you are amazing. I love that photo of you…I’m trying to think of the actress you remind me of, but it’s escaping me.

It is great to see your story shared via The Life Enthusiast Chronicles. Most of us can do with a little perpsective reminder from time to time that life is good, bad and so-so, and it’s how we deal with it that makes the difference.

You’ve hit the nail right on the head – as my mother has always said, ‘it’s not what happens to you in life, it’s how you deal with it that is important’.
      Great minds think alike! šŸ˜€

Things can change or go very wrong in a short amount of time so it’s good to appreciate and be thankful for everything we have every day šŸ˜€

You couldn’t write this story as fiction and get away with it, but here you are living it every day. It’s great to read that your husband is well now and as you know, I’ve enjoyed following the transformation of the RUC. Best wishes Dianne.

Hi Carol – yes, a publisher reading the story would say ‘ease up!’ LOL (which is what I kept saying!).

I’ve been meaning to ask you – how did you get the Google+ tag on your page? I’ve been trying to do it but can’t figure it out.

Good stuff, Dianne; that’s a great profile of you, and great picture too!

I forgot to tell you that I read The Everything Theory over Easter and I couldn’t put it down! I had a five-hour plane ride and usually fall asleep, but your book keep me awake and engaged the entire time. I plan to write a proper review for it on Goodreads, but I just wanted to let you know. I’m so curious about the research you did for the book, and how many of those conspiratory elements were true!

I’m thrilled that you liked the story, Janna! Yes – a load of research went into it. Initially I wrote the story as a skeptic, but the more I looked into these things the more they intrigued me and I ended up gaining a lot of knowledge that I wouldn’t normally have learned! I think about life differently since I wrote that book. Strangely enough, snippets of information have been coming through the media recently about ancient sites and updated theories that push back the timeline of humans. These are emerging from mainstream science, so obviously more evidence is becoming available and therefore harder to ignore. I absolutely loved writing this book and it’s such a wonderful feeling when I get comments like yours! šŸ˜€

You are quite a woman! I know living on a farm will be great for your entire family. I’ve lived on a small farm in Thailand for 10 years– now back in the States and wondering why– and it was and is a way to stay in touch with yourself
