Puppy Love

Just a quick one today (between mowing the lawn and painting windows). I have finished cleaning and painting five windows and only have 22 to go (yikes!). I’m hoping to get some pics of my hard work up here by the end of the week.

On a rant side note – if you have windows with etched glass and you need to paint them, please take the glass out first. I’m spending a lot of my painting time in the shed cursing the person/people who painted the glass. I’m pretty sure they can’t hear me because these windows are over 100 years old, but it makes me feel better – end of rant side note.

But the real reason for this post is because we have two new puppies. They are both female Arab Mastiff X and mine is the one with the brown spots. I have a problem – what am I going to name this cute little girl???

puppiespuppies2

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Have a lovely week!

They are SO cute!! I can’t think of any cute names right now other than Roxy which sounds a tiny bit like RUC-y…. Congratulations on your new family member!

And good luck getting all those windows done….

Excuse me . . . but do you REALLY expect me to believe that you have been stripping windows and mowing the yard today? With PUPPIES in the house? Right.

As for names, how about “Cinnabun” . . . she looks like a cinnamon bun topped with icing and she’s SUPER SWEET! 😀

Does her sister have a name yet?

Yes – I mowed half the yard this morning (then got too hot) 😦 and I’ve painted the windows and now it’s lunch time and time for a play 😀

Cinnabun certainly is a very cute name 😀

They are wonderful companions, Rilzy. I already have two dogs, but living on a very big farm you can never have too many 😉

Be still my heart, your puppies are adorable!!!!!!!!!! Our friends have a female dog that we just love who has the best doggie personality and her name is Lilly! That name automatically popped up when I saw her precious face. Congratulations on your new family members Dianne! 🙂

Not yet – I’m still sorting through all the names that have been suggested. Now I have the problem of having too many good names to choose from 😀

Given my dogs are called Gary and Lloyd… I suggest Sharon or Kylie. An some people say I’m not good at naming dogs!

Oh, Dianne, I am in love! But I also hear you when you talk of all those windows to paint. I am doing up my house and revamping all my furniture – sewing, painting, sanding – and I can’t seem to even put a dent into the mountain of work required. Said that, these pups have put a smile on my face.

You’re a woman after my own heart, Gabriela! We take on these tasks that are bigger than mountains, but it’s a great feeling to sit back and look at the results 😀 I’m glad the puppies put a smile on your face 😉

Giselle, she’s an adorable cutie and that name came to mind, but probably she needs a more powerful “warrior type” name like her new mommy (you) a noble name, a different goddess perhaps Dianne. Also on a different note, I was wondering if you’re going after, like, a carpenter’s license (lol), you’re certainly going to be well qualified by the end of all this! 🙂

I think I’ll be qualified to do anything after this, Penny! LOL 😀

Giselle sounds beautiful – she’s probably the biggest dog in the litter, so I’m thinking she will be a ‘warrior’ 😉

I don’t know how you would take the glass out? I always thought glass was glued into windows… but I”m no handyman.

    Love the puppies 🙂

It took me a long time to get the glass out without breaking it (sometimes up to 4 hours a pane!) But they’re done now so I’ve taken some pics and will post them here soon 😉

I ended up naming her Casey (after all the casement windows I’ve been working on). She (and her sister Roshey) are little scamps but very cute indeed.

It’s great to see you back! 😀
